Azure Support Engineer

Azure Support Engineer will collaborate with account teams to scope requirements, design and architect solutions, and act as the local lead for delivery of Cloud projects leveraging global, regional, and local delivery resources. Acting as a subject matter expert for Azure, you will be the project lead interface and support the sales and delivery teams in discovering opportunities, gathering customer requirements, performing Cloud Assessments, architecture, and designing technical solutions.

Job descriptionTechnical understanding of the following areas with a (preferred) deep knowledge in at least one: Windows Azure Platform , Operating System, Virtualization, Networking experience.Windows Azure Platform
  • Windows Azure architecture and its components (Fabric, Compute, Storage)
  • Knowledge of Windows Azure Platform services
  • Azure Platform development and deployment Lifecycle
  • Familiarity with tools: Powershell, Netmon, Fiddler.
  • Operating System/Virtualization
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Security, OS Internals concepts
  • Understanding of Virtualization concepts and virtual system administration
  • Experience with Hyper-V configuration and administration
  • Familiarity with networking concepts including VIPs, NAT, DNS
  • Familiarity with networking tools (ping, tracert, tracemon, wire shark, etc.)
  • Understanding of load balancing, VPN technologies preferred
  • Understanding of the OSI model and related concepts
 ExperienceMinimum 2 years of support or equivalent experience including a customer-facing or customer support role
